Our aims
The aims of our church can best be expressed by our mission statement:
*Make known the Gospel of Jesus Christ offering friendship and comfort to everyone in the parish,
*provide places where we can worship God, developing prayer and nurturing faith together,
*serve the community, demonstrating God's love for all.
We are a family orientated church. Our connected activities include toddler groups, pre-school playgroups, scout and guiding associations and our Mothers’ Union.
The centre of our worship and activities is Christ Church a mid-Victorian church on Church Road, Hanham, which is on the Bristol/ South Gloucestershire border.
Our other church is St. George at Hanham Abbots, an historic 14th century church set in countryside.
Welcome to Christ Church Hanham
We are a Church of England Parish of three Churches: Christ Church, St George and Christ Church in the Afternoon.
As individuals and as a church, we are a community:
ROOTED in God: Called into faith and FELLOWSHIP:
SENT out to love and serve our community.
